The Gadolinium Aluminum Gallium Garnet (Ce: GAGG) is a flavescent crystal with a high light output of 50000 ph/MeV, a short decay time of ∼50 ns, and a high density of 6.63 g/cm³.GAGG(Ce) has good stopping power, is physically rugged, and well suited to a broad range of applications. The major applications of GAGG include computed tomography(SPECT), gamma-ray, and Compton electron detection.
