Terbium Gallium Garnet (TGG) is an excellent magneto-optical crystal used in various Faraday devices (Rotator and Isolator) in the range of 400nm-1100nm, excluding 475-500nm.TGG has many advantages compared to other magneto-optical crystals. It has less optical loss, lower thermally induced beam distortion, and twice bigger Verdet constant than a terbium doped glass.
